Copper Accelerated Acetic Acid Salt Spray Test (CASS Test) Solution Ratio

Dongguan Zhongzhi Times Testing Equipment Co., Ltd. The typical solution ratio for the Copper Accelerated Acetic Salt Spray Test (CASS test) is as follows:

  • Dissolve sodium chloride (NaCl) in distilled or deionized water to prepare a sodium chloride solution with a concentration of 50 ± 5 g/L.
  • Add an appropriate amount of glacial acetic acid to the sodium chloride solution to adjust the pH to 0.26 ± 0.02 ml/L.
  • Add copper chloride (CuCl₂·2H₂O) to a concentration of 0.26 ± 0.02 g/L.

When preparing the solution, please note the following points:

  1. Use precise measuring instruments to ensure the accurate concentration of each component.
  2. Use distilled or deionized water to prevent impurities from affecting the test results.
  3. Stir the solution thoroughly after preparation.
