Acid salt spray test solution ratio method

Dongguan Zhongzhi Times Testing Equipment Co., Ltd. Acidic salt spray test solutions are typically prepared using sodium chloride solution and sulfuric acid. The following is a common mixing method:

I. Reagent Preparation

  1. Sodium chloride (analytical grade): Provides the salt content of the salt spray.
  2. Distilled or deionized water: Ensures the purity of the solution and reduces the impact of impurities on test results.
  3. Concentrated sulfuric acid (analytical grade): Adjusts the acidity of the solution.

II. Mixing Steps

  1. Prepare the sodium chloride solution: Dissolve 50g ± 5g of sodium chloride in 950ml of distilled or deionized water and stir to obtain a 5% sodium chloride solution.
  2. Adjust the acidity: Add an appropriate amount of sulfuric acid to the sodium chloride solution to bring the pH value of the solution within the specified range (generally 3.0 – 3.5). A pH meter can be used to accurately measure and adjust the solution’s acidity.

It should be noted that different standards and test requirements may require different potion ratios. Before conducting an acid salt spray test, the potion should be prepared according to the specific test standards and requirements, and the purity of the reagents and the accuracy of the operation should be ensured to obtain reliable test results.
