The following points should be noted when using the salt spray test chamber
Dongguan Zhongzhi Times Testing Equipment Co., Ltd. recommends the following precautions when using a salt spray test chamber:
I. Before Operation
- Equipment Inspection: Before use, carefully inspect all components of the salt spray test chamber, such as the spray device, temperature controller, and brine tank, to ensure they are intact and free of damage and leaks.
- Brine Preparation: Prepare brine strictly in accordance with standard requirements, ensuring the correct concentration. The salt used should meet the test requirements, and the water should be deionized or distilled.
- Specimen Placement: Position specimens appropriately, ensuring sufficient spacing between specimens to prevent contact that could affect test results. The specimens should also be positioned so that they are easily accessible for observation and inspection.
II. During Operation
- Parameter Setting: Accurately set parameters such as temperature, spray time, and rest time according to test requirements. Carefully check settings during the setup process to avoid errors.
- Operation Monitoring: During the test, closely monitor the equipment’s operating status, such as whether the temperature is stable and whether the spray is operating normally. If any abnormalities occur, stop the machine for inspection immediately.
- Safety Precautions: Because salt spray testing involves corrosive substances, operators should wear appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves and goggles, to avoid exposure to salt spray and potential harm.
III. Post-Operation
- Equipment Cleaning: After the test, promptly clean the salt spray deposits and residual brine inside the salt spray test chamber. Use appropriate cleaning agents to avoid damage to the equipment.
- Maintenance: Regularly perform equipment maintenance, such as checking nozzles for blockage and seals. Replace damaged parts promptly to ensure stable equipment performance.
- Record Preservation: Record all test parameters and results for subsequent analysis and reference. Also, properly preserve test records for future review.
