Precautions for using salt spray test machine

Dongguan Zhongzhi Times Experimental Equipment Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Dongguan Zhongzhi Times)
We recommend the following precautions when using a salt spray tester:
I. Before the Test
- Equipment Inspection:
● Before using the salt spray tester, check that all components, such as the spray device, heating system, and temperature sensor, are in good condition. Ensure that the equipment is functioning properly.
● Check that the brine tank contains sufficient brine and that the concentration meets the test requirements. Generally, the brine concentration should be adjusted according to the test standards.
- Sample Preparation:
● Before placing the sample in the tester, clean and dry it to ensure accurate test results.
● Samples should be placed appropriately to avoid obstruction that could affect the uniform distribution of the salt spray.
II. During the Test
- Operating Instructions:
● Strictly follow the equipment’s operating procedures and do not arbitrarily change test parameters.
● After turning on the equipment, carefully observe its operating status, such as whether the spray is even and the temperature is stable.
- Safety Precautions:
● The salt spray tester generates corrosive gases during operation and should be used in a well-ventilated environment to avoid harm to the human body.
● Operators should wear protective equipment such as gloves and glasses to prevent contact with salt spray and corrosive substances.
- Equipment Maintenance:
● Regularly inspect all equipment components, such as nozzles and filters, and promptly remove any blockages to ensure proper operation.
● Ensure the equipment is tightly sealed to prevent salt spray leakage.
III. Post-Test
- Sample Handling:
● After the test, remove the sample promptly, clean it, and dry it to prevent further corrosion.
● Test and analyze the sample, and record the test results.
- Equipment Cleaning:
● Clean all components of the salt spray tester, including the salt water tank, spray device, and working chamber, to remove any residual salt spray and corrosive substances. ● Perform equipment maintenance, such as applying anti-rust oil, to extend its service life.
